To be honest, I don't know the first thing about baseball recruiting. Unlike some contributors of this blog (hint: Opie), I don't spend months studying and recruiting these young, nubile, finely-oiled athletic machines to work for me as my sole means of providing for my wife and XBOX habit.

So my opinion here is shit. But I came across this video and it makes me want a baseball team, so I can give Alec Cortez a shot. The shot he deserves. Apparently, ambitious young Alec sent this video to at least 100 college coaches. And damn. Not only can he pop up like 4 ten-mph underhand pitches in a row, lift weights in his driveway where people can actually see him (!), catch a lofted ball just over the fence and throw it back to the guy 10 yards away, but can he vandalize the shit out of any tire. "Fuck you, tire!!! Two bats for you!!!" Also, watch him scare the shit out of that seagull with his athleticism on the beach. Too bad that seagull doesn't recruit college baseball players. He'd be 'All Seagull League' in stolen bases.
